According to recent surveys amongst the construction sector, house building has rose almost a third than that of 2012, to be specific it has rose by 30%. These figures were received from the National House Building Council.
New housing registrations rose by 19% in July, compared to 2012 and were 30% in the period from may through to July than the year before.
The current growth that we are seeing is primarily driven by the public sector housing registrations, which rose by 45% in the three months. According to the National Building Council the private housing also rose by 25%. The private housing sector however has also seen the greatest number of new registrations in the UK for more than 5 years, with a number of builds exceeding 10,300. This is the highest number of new builds since February 2008.
This recovery has been relatively slow, as we all know – however these figures released by the National Housing Council are certainly very promising. Builders are beginning to meet the growing demands to provide new homes that our country desperately needs.
We at Contour Architectural Services Belfast hope that this year continues to prosper from the long overdue recovery story. Please contact us on 02890 692 444 for further information.
